Special E-Book Collection for Kids

TumbleBooks is a collection of animated, talking picture books and chapter books which can be viewed using any reading/mobile device that has an internet connection.  The collection includes fiction, non-fiction, Read-Alongs, foreign language titles, puzzles and games.

Our TumbleBooks collection is now available on your tablet or smartphone!  The apps for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found in the AppStore or Google Play.

Library Babies

Mondays, Dec. 3rd  &  Dec. 17th  at 11:00 am

This special program meets twice a month for infants and children up to 24 months.

Will include rhymes, stories and songs. Older siblings always welcome.

Preschool Story Time

THERE IS NO STORY TIME  TUESDAY,  DEC. 25th AND WEDNESDAY, DEC. 26th

  Preschoolers will enjoy stories, songs and a craft while building important literacy skills.  All ages welcome.

“Story of Scrooge”: A Holiday Play

Saturday, Dec. 8th at 12:30 pm

Join us for this special performance presented by Traveling Lantern Theater Company.
Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean old geezer with no care for anything other than his money. His one and only friend visits him as a ghost and starts him on a journey that melts his icy heart and teaches him the joys of caring for others.  This interactive play is fun for the whole family!

Chess Club

Wednesday, Dec. 12th  4:30 – 5:45 pm

Learn tips from a chess instructor and have fun playing other students at this monthly program For students who would like to learn chess and players who want to improve their skills! Best for students in grades 2 – 8.

Paws Reading Buddies

Wednesday, Dec. 19th  6:30 – 7:30 pm

Children gain confidence while reading aloud to a trained therapy dog.  Bring a favorite book or borrow one of ours.

Kids will receive a PAWS reading log to be stamped every time they read with one of the dogs – when their log is full they earn a free book!

Thursday, Dec. 20th  10:30 am

Have fun building your own Lego creation at the Library with friends. Bring your imagination and we’ll supply the Legos.  All ages welcome!

Thursday, Dec. 27th  1:30 – 3:30 pm

Drop in and be creative at six different arts and crafts stations featuring fun winter crafts including Q-tip painting, clay sculpture, collage, and  a fuse bead craft for older children.
