Friends of the Library

The Chester Library needs friends…it’s as simple as that!
Did you know we currently fund the following?

  • 256 Adult Programs, including Senior Lunch n Learns, Yoga, computer classes, Friday afternoon movies, lectures, craft programs and more.
  • 222 Youth Programs, including story times for babies and preschoolers, Summer Reading Club, family programs, teen programs and more.
  • State-of-the-Art Blue-Ray AV system which enhances programs in the Larison room. It is also available for use by outside groups who reserve the room for their programs and events.
  • Museum passes for:
  1. Grounds for Sculpture
  2. Yogi Berra Museum and Baseball Hall of Fame
  3. New York Transit Museum
  4. Museum of Early Trades and Crafts
  5. The Morris Museum
  6. The Stickley Museum
  7. The Intrepid

The Friends of the Chester Library are committed to:

  • Promoting and improving library services, materials and facilities to the community.
  • Raising funds for immediate and long-range projects.

Our funds have been raised from:

  • Membership dues
  • On-going Pop-Up Book sales (Click here for information about donating books for the Friends book sales.)
  • Wine with Friends fundraiser
  • Annual shredding event
  • Tote Bags
  • Pop-up Book sales
