SENIOR LUNCH AND LEARN on Monday, February 04 @ 12:00 PM

Rebecca K. Abenante, Healthy Aging Coordinator for Morristown Medical Center, will present “Embracing Aging”. Learn how you can find your own path to aging well and resources available to help you along the way. A complimentary lunch is served. Co-sponsored by the Senior Resource Center.


ROARING TWENTIES on Friday, February 08 @ 1:00 PM

Ain’t we got fun! Christine DeLeon will share the music and American culture of the “Jazz Age” when Vaudeville was the best show in town. Treasured songs such as “Blue Skies,” “Button Up Your Overcoat,” “Five Foot Two Eyes Of Blue” and the popular dance “The Charleston” will make you smile as “the whole world smiles with you!”

“The impact of her pure and impressive voice is immediate and transporting” (Mark Schaffer of New Jersey’s Folk Project) with a voice “reminiscent of Judy Collins …” (Scott Sheldon, Sing Out! Magazine). Christine is a winner in the 2008 NJ Folk Festival Songwriting Competition and in the 2014 Recording Artist Development Singing Contest of Greenwich Village, New York City as well as a finalist in the 2015 Rose Garden Coffeehouse Performing Songwriter Competition.

ADULT CRAFT – FELT FLOWER PINS on Monday, February 11 @ 1:00 PM

Learn the art of felting and create a pretty felt flower pin that you can wear or give as a gift for Valentine’s Day. Taught by local fiber artist Kerstin Katko. $2.50 supply fee. Registration preference given to Chester residents.


GREAT DECISIONS beginning Tuesday, February 12, 2019 @ 7 pm

Great Decisions is a national, civic education program that encourages participants to Learn about U.S. foreign policy and global issues. Members discuss multiple viewpoints in a group setting. Please contact Mary Murphy at 908-879-7612 with questions.


FOUR FORGOTTEN HEROES on Thursday, February 21 @ 7:00 PM

Arlington National Cemetery honors the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier; but too many other heroes are forgotten. Presented Michael Czuchnicki tells the stories of 4 war heroes – WWII Army Pfc. Desmond Doss, the Revolutionary War’s Joseph Morris, Vietnam’s Charles Watters, and all those at Jockey Hollow in New Jersey. Everyone should know their stories, understand their “Why’s?”, and be inspired.



Library Director, Lesley Karczewski, will discuss how to download library materials including books, audio books, and magazines on your eReader, tablet or smart phone. Please note Kindle eReaders that do not have an Internet Browser are not compatible with our Cloud Library.

MAHJONG on Tuesday, Feb. 5 @ 1 PM

Are you a Mahjong player and looking for a group? Our Mahjong group meets the first Tuesday of each month at 1 pm and is accepting new players. No instruction is provided so you must know how to play.


KNITTING GROUP on Wednesdays @ 10:30 AM

TECH HELP on Wednesday, Feb. 13 @ 1 PM

In addition to giving you free beginning help on how to use any of your devices we now also have a volunteer who will help with PC hardware and software issues. Call Mary Murphy on 879-7612 for an appointment.


YOGA on Wednesdays @ 9:30 am

Classic Hatha Yoga is a gentle style of Yoga. It is well suited for everyone including the newcomer and those who want to continue focusing on the fundamentals of the basic Yoga poses and correct breathing. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel. Instruction from the School of Royal Yoga, Chester.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT THE MOVIES on Friday, February 15 @ 1 pm

Based on Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel, “Crazy Rich Asians” follows New Yorker Rachel Chu as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. Rated PG13. 120 minutes.
